“A great place to relax in style, enjoy the night sky and a fabulous dinner. You can also enjoy the Art gallery…and if you’re lucky also enjoy an hour or more of piano music live probably on the weekends only. In the morning head to the Red Ocotillo for a great breakfast. I recommend their quiche. Oh can’t forget about the Olympic size pool” — jh

“…the charm, 50’s glamour and sense of history wins you over, as you imagine hanging around the bar and fantastic pool with Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe enjoying the desert air… A great location just out of town near the main hiking trails and park entrance tops it all off. Seeing the dawn from a second-floor room is amazing. The owners have worked hard to save the building and its Hollywood-star heritage from decline and are continuing to restore this beauty to her former glory – worth every dollar of your stay!”— gr

“I recommend the hotel without reservation; and if you are planning a trip to the desert, this is the place to be. Near the hiking trail in the State Park and a short distance to the small town of Borrego Springs. One of the best values I have experienced in quite a long time.” — jl
Located behind the hotel is the most popular hike in Anza-Borrego State Park, the Palm Canyon Trail, which leads to a Palm Oasis frequented by Big Horn Sheep.
“Quaint, quiet and friendly place in the desert – We loved our stay at the Palms at Indian Head. The check-in and check-out were a breeze even with no one at reception, our key and helpful instructions were waiting, and check-out was just a matter of dropping off the key at the front desk. If only all hotels were this easy! The arrangement the hotel has with Red Ocotillo worked out great, the food there is fantastic and the coupon was a nice touch. The hotel bar had yummy beer on tap and all of the employees we came across were helpful and friendly. We stayed in one of the recently renovated rooms, it was very comfy and nicely decorated. Plenty of parking and easy access to trails tops it off. Great place to stay!” — sg
